Find Beaver County Civil Dockets

Civil matters in Beaver County, from contract disputes to probate, all land on a court docket sooner or later. Your first move is figuring out which court holds the case. General civil, domestic, and probate files sit with the trial court, while qualifying small claims go to a local justice court. Once you know the court, a Beaver County civil court docket search runs through the statewide public case system using a party name or case number. That system is the fastest route for most people. When a docket or a filed document stays out of reach online, the clerk's office, courthouse terminals, and party access offer other ways in.

The official Xchange instructions walk through each search field and the result display. The example screen gives a safe inventory of the fields. It avoids reproducing any real Beaver County case or private party identity.

The screen drives home a sound civil search. Court and case type matter as much as the name, and filing, disposition, and judgment dates must stay distinct from one another.

What a Civil Docket Shows

Think of a Beaver County civil court docket as a case history. It is not the whole paper file. Xchange can display the county, court, case number, filing date, case type, caption, judge, parties, party codes, attorneys, and proceedings. Judgment information, accounting, and document links can appear too. Probate or guardianship records may add due dates. Some public PDFs can be purchased. Still, a docket line does not guarantee its underlying document is online.

Case NumberA court identifier such as 26########; the opening digits reflect filing year, but the full number and court must be checked.
PartiesPlaintiff and defendant, or petitioner, respondent, estate, and other coded roles.
FilingsComplaints, petitions, answers, motions, notices, orders, and minute entries recorded chronologically.
SettingsHearings or other scheduled events, best confirmed against the current calendar and clerk.
JudgmentRecorded order, judgment, dismissal, and later judgment-disposition data when entered.
AccountingFees, payments, trust, or balances when the public history displays them.

You can print an online case history, but that printout is not automatically certified. For the authoritative copy, go to the Beaver District Court or the justice court holding the case.

Beaver County Small Claims Dockets

Small claims are their own Beaver County civil docket route. Beaver, Milford, and Minersville Justice Courts each keep local small-claims histories. The county's Justice Courts page lists a $15,000 amount. But current Utah Code Chapter 8 speaks too. It sets a $20,000 limit. That limit runs for cases filed from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2029. The conflict between official sources shouldn't be hidden.

For a current filing: use the statute and confirm the live limit with the justice court clerk. For older docket research, retain the limit and filing date stated by the source in effect then.

A small-claims appeal moves from justice court to district court. That means records can exist at two levels, with separate case numbers and custodians. The appeal never erases the trial history, so search the court named in each entry.

Types of Civil Cases on the Docket

Beaver District Court is the county's court of general civil jurisdiction under Utah Code section 78A-5-102. Its Beaver County civil court dockets can cover contract, debt, tort, property, domestic, probate, guardianship, and other civil categories. Justice court civil jurisdiction is much narrower. It centers on qualifying small claims.

  • Contracts and debt collection, including Xchange codes CN and DC.
  • Property-rights matters and civil claims tied to land or possession.
  • Automobile tort and other civil-injury claims, where filed.
  • Divorce, annulment, and other domestic cases, subject to document restrictions.
  • Estate, guardianship, conservatorship, and name-change matters.
  • Small claims filed in the correct Beaver County justice precinct.

A Xchange code is a filing category, nothing more. It is not a short summary of every legal issue. Open the case history and read the caption, party roles, proceedings, and orders before describing the matter.

Beaver County Civil Docket Custodians

Utah assigns recordkeeping by court level. The Beaver District Court clerk or judicial services representative keeps district civil, domestic, probate, judgment, and justice-appeal records. Each justice court clerk keeps that court's small-claims docket. The Beaver County Clerk/Auditor and County Recorder hold other county records, but neither replaces the judicial clerk.

Milford has conflicting official public-counter addresses. The county lists 26 South 100 West, while a city page lists 451 North Main. Call the published court number before you travel. An address mix-up doesn't move the record to another precinct.

Settings and Hearings on Civil Dockets

A Beaver County civil docket may show a hearing or proceeding. Utah Court Calendars lists current scheduled activity. The calendar updates on weekdays and is date-sensitive. It is not the complete filing record. Settings can move, be continued, or be vacated. A future entry doesn't prove the hearing took place.

Confirm the court, date, time, judge, and any courtroom or remote details in the calendar. Then compare that setting with Xchange. The civil history may later add a minute entry, order, judgment, or rescheduled event. If a live Beaver District calendar endpoint fails, use the statewide calendar landing page. Call the clerk. Treat a technical error as an error, not as a cancellation.

Setting
A scheduled court event, not a final result.
Continuance
A court-approved move of an event to another date.
Minute entry
A recorded account of court activity, subject to its exact wording.
Default judgment
A judgment that must be read from the actual order and case history, not inferred from a missed setting.

Beaver County Civil Record Routes

Xchange is where most Beaver County civil docket searching starts. The landing screen separates guest search, account login, payment, and account setup. Fees are modest. A one-time account costs $10, each search costs $0.20, and each available document costs $1. Parties get a free path once identity and case verification clears. Then use MyCase instead of paying. Utah eFile and certified EFSP services are filing channels for registered filers, not civil docket readers.

The courthouse is another route. Utah Courts says free Xchange terminals sit in most district courts. Confirm with Beaver District Court before going. Staff can point you to the right office. A public terminal still will not open sealed, private, or protected content. You can also phone or mail the exact court.

Some records never make it online. For those, use the written Utah court-record request. Name the court, case number, caption, date range, and the exact filing you need. Say whether you want inspection or copies. Note whether certification matters. Ten business days is the normal response window. Classification, redaction, retrieval, or a fee estimate can stretch it. If the document already sits in Xchange, the court may send you back there.

One caution: Xchange support fixes portal problems. The clerk holding the civil case controls corrections and certified copies.

Public Access to Civil Dockets

A Beaver County civil court docket is not an all-or-nothing record. Classification decides access. UCJA Rules 4-202.02 and 4-202.03 set the classes. Case material is public, private, protected, sealed, or otherwise restricted. Public material may include the index, status, case history, calendar, judgment, order, or a filing. A public case shell still hides some attached documents.

Utah access rule: Adoptions, civil mental-health commitments, juvenile and child-welfare matters, and termination cases are excluded from Xchange. Some domestic and probate histories remain visible while particular supporting documents are private.

A dead end is not the end. An authorized person can file the court's request form, stating a qualifying relationship or an order that unlocks nonpublic material. Never guess at private facts hidden behind a redaction. A missing civil result can trace to spelling, the wrong court, a tight filter, pre-electronic coverage, or a lawful restriction. Broaden the search first. Then contact the correct Beaver County clerk.

Beaver County Civil Docket Copies

A printed civil history and a certified court record are different products. Inspection itself carries no ordinary fee. Published Utah charges list $0.25 per paper sheet, $4 per certified document plus $0.50 per page, and $6 per exemplified document plus $0.50 per page. Fax or email delivery costs $5 for ten pages or less, then $0.50 per page. It excludes records already in Xchange. Ask the clerk for the current total first. Say whether you want the docket history, the complaint, an order, the judgment, or another named filing. A PDF from Xchange is not certified. Narrow wording helps the clerk find the right Beaver County civil record. It also trims avoidable staff search costs.

Beaver County Civil Search Entry

The official Xchange landing page lays out guest search, payment, account login, and account setup as separate choices. Civil research starts with public search. The filing portal serves registered filers, not docket searchers.
