Find the Milford Court Docket

Most Milford court docket lookups begin with one question: which court holds the file? The justice court named on a citation or case history handles local traffic tickets, infractions, ordinance violations, lower-level misdemeanors, and small claims. Bigger criminal and civil matters go to the district court instead. Once you know the court, a case number, citation number, or party name pulls up the Milford docket, and the calendar is worth checking separately for hearing dates. Call the clerk before visiting, since official location pages disagree. You can also search by phone, by mail, or through a formal records request.

Milford Court Docket Address Check

Here is the problem: two official sources give different public locations. The Beaver County directory and the Justice Courts page put Milford Justice Court at 26 South 100 West, Milford, Utah 84751. Milford's own public-safety page places the Justice Court and DMV function at 451 North Main. The phone number, at least, is consistent: (435) 387-5571. That conflict is real. So nobody should pick an address without calling first.

The official Milford public-safety page lays out the local court and service details. It includes a court-only Thursday window.

Milford court docket contact and Thursday court information

Phoning ahead still matters, since the address alone will not tell you which counter handles your filing that day.

The Milford Municipal Court

Milford has no separate municipal-court portal. The operative court is Milford Justice Court, one of three Beaver County justice-court precincts. Utah law gives it a limited set of matters. In its territory those are traffic offenses, infractions, class B and C misdemeanors, ordinance cases, and qualifying small claims. The Milford clerk keeps that court's case history.

The city contracts with the Beaver County Sheriff for public safety. Still, an enforcement agency does not hold the docket. Go by the court location printed on the citation or shown in Xchange. Do not send a Milford record request to Beaver Justice Court. Both courts share a county, nothing more.

Milford Court Records and Building History

The official Milford building history traces the government use of the building and a relocation that followed a 2015 safety problem.

Milford court records context from the governmental building history

That history explains why a remembered court location may not match a newer service listing. It cannot replace a current confirmation from the clerk.

Keep three custodians straight. Building history, City Hall records, and a judicial case file are different things. The Milford city office may hold municipal administrative records. The Milford Justice Court clerk holds the docket. Beaver District Court holds district records. Sorting them out keeps a mailed request from landing at the wrong office.

Milford Court Dates and Settings

Utah Court Calendars runs the statewide setting search. Updates land on weekdays at about 5:30 a.m. The calendar system is separate from Xchange case history. A Milford calendar line tells you what activity is scheduled for a chosen court and date. It does not prove the hearing happened. It does not prove a plea was accepted or the case ended.

DateThe selected and displayed hearing date, recorded with the search date.
TimeThe listed start time, subject to court change.
CourtroomA room or remote setting if the result supplies one.
JudgeThe assigned or presiding judicial officer shown.
Setting TypeAn arraignment, pretrial, trial, compliance, or other event.

Confirm the Thursday window and any appearance time by phone. A general office listing is not an individual setting. If the search comes up empty, check the court, date, spelling, and case number before deciding nothing is scheduled.

Milford Court Docket Thursday Window

The city page sets out court-only Thursday hours. County sources give the court contact. They also give a second address. A window that narrow makes advance verification matter more than it would at a full-service weekday counter. Call (435) 387-5571 with the case or citation number in hand. Ask where and when your specific matter will be handled.

One caution: a calendar may show a setting outside the broad public-counter description. Clerk work continues when court is not in session. The city page's window is not a promise about every hearing or records service. When you document a Milford setting, note the source and the date you saved it. Schedule and location details can change.

Milford Traffic Court Dockets

Start with the citation itself, because it names the court that owns the case. Beaver County posts an Entry of Plea form. It lets you pick Beaver, Milford, or Minersville. It also has a field for a citation or case number. You mark a guilty or no-contest plea and acknowledge your rights on the form. Submitting it settles nothing by itself. Acceptance, judgment, and final outcome are separate steps. So check the official history and call Milford Justice Court before assuming anything.

Want to fight the ticket instead? The county directs a not-guilty plea to a phone call to the court. Mandatory appearances have to be arranged with the court too. Phone payment is off the table, per the county FAQ. Fines are generally due within the published period. Missing a hearing can trigger late fees, a warrant, or a license hold under the court's current instructions.

Milford's Plea in Abeyance process is local, not the statewide Deferred Traffic Prosecution. Eligibility, traffic school, and payment timing all live on the live form. The added amount and the clean-record term do too. The Beaver County traffic court records route adds the wider county context.

Reading Milford Traffic Docket Events

A Milford court docket can stack up a citation number, a violation date, a filing date, a hearing, a plea, a disposition, a judgment, and accounting entries. Those dates rarely match. Paying is not the same as being decided. A charge is only an allegation. Read the plea and disposition blocks before you call an outcome.

Citation number
The enforcement identifier, which differs from the court case number.
Proceeding
A filing, hearing, minute entry, order, or other chronological event.
Disposition
The court's recorded resolution of a charge or case event.
Accounting
Fine, fee, payment, trust, and balance data when displayed.

A short judgment or disposition code belongs to the official Utah code list. Look it up there. Guessing a code's meaning from memory invites error.

Where Milford Court Cases End Up

Not everything that happens near Milford stays in Milford Justice Court. Felonies and class A misdemeanars go to Beaver District Court. So do general civil, domestic, and probate cases. Juvenile matters sit with the Fifth District Juvenile Court. They stay outside ordinary public Xchange access. Federal matters live in PACER.

Appeals from justice-court criminal, traffic, and small-claims cases move up to district court and start a separate history. Track both case numbers and both offices. The Beaver County court docket overview maps the county-level routes without treating Milford as a district-court branch.

Milford Court Docket Portal Entry

The official Xchange landing page separates guest search, payment, login, and account setup.

Public research runs on a different track from Utah eFile. MyCase is the free, verified route for a party to an eligible case. Xchange serves everyone else. A guest account costs a $10 account fee. Searches add $0.20 each, and available documents cost $1. Most district courts offer free public terminals. Confirm local availability before traveling. Too many name matches? Narrow the search to Milford Justice Court, one case type, and a date range.

Public Access to Milford Court Records

Utah rules sort records into public, private, protected, sealed, and other restricted classes. Public Xchange material can include the court, case number, status, party roles, violation information, proceedings, disposition, judgment, and public documents. Sealed or expunged cases stay out. So do juvenile matters, adoptions, civil mental-health commitments, child-welfare cases, and termination cases.

Access boundary: UCJA Rules 4-202.02 and 4-202.03 govern judicial records. A missing Milford result is not proof that no case exists. Check spelling, jurisdiction, date, coverage, and lawful restrictions, then ask the clerk.

An authorized person can request nonpublic material. The written court form asks for the qualifying basis, with proof attached. Public researchers should never read hidden facts into redactions or publish personal details without a civic reason.

Milford Court Docket Requests

When Xchange does not carry the public filing you need, mail a written Request for a Court Record to the court. That court is the one that holds the case. Name Milford Justice Court, the case number, the caption, a date range, and the exact history, order, or filing. Say whether you want inspection, an ordinary copy, or a certified copy. Justice-court mail goes to PO Box 922, Milford, Utah 84751. Confirm current delivery instructions first.

The court usually responds within ten business days. That clock is not a promise of production by day ten. Classification review, retrieval, redaction, and a cost estimate can all come first. Published fees run $0.25 per paper sheet. Certified documents cost $4 each plus $0.50 per page. Ask for current rates and payment instructions.

Milford Court Record Quality Check

Before trusting a Milford court docket, check the location. Check it twice: in the Xchange filter and again in the result row. Preserve the case type, filing date, party role, and the exact event text. Keep the date you saved the calendar apart from the hearing date itself. A no-result search? Loosen tight filters and try both justice and district jurisdiction. Still nothing? Call Milford Justice Court with your strongest identifier. This check fends off wrong-precinct matches and stale settings. It also fends off name variants and mix-ups between a citation, a court case, and a final judgment.

Note: Recheck live Milford records and hours close to the date you plan to use them.
